Terry Cano Band

The Terry Cano Band was formed in 2016 as “The Bakersfield Little Big Band.” The name was changed in 2018. What sets the Terry Cano Band apart from other large bands is that the arrangements are written by Terry, drawing on his many years of performing in the LA Jazz scene, Ballroom Dance Clubs, and weekend gigs for everything from birthdays to Bar Mitzvahs.
The band has Two Trumpets, Two Trombones, and Three Saxes that also double on Clarinet, powered by a four-piece rhythm section. Another unique feature of The Terry Cano Band is its vocalist, who includes Paula and Terry.
The band’s song list includes tender ballads such as Moon Glow to The Hustle, with a few gems thrown in for the dance crowd like Hernando's Hideaway, Cherry Pink, and Under Paris Skies. The band also has jazz tunes like Tenor Madness and an original funk tune in a more modern style. The band is also known for inviting area Los Angeles vocalists and instrumentalists to join them in their performance!
